LLAMA FIBER

For about a year we researched llamas, visiting llama farms, attending llama shows and read everything we could find about them.  In 1999 we bought two half sisters from a farm in Ohio.

From the start, our breeding program was to raise tall, correct, show quality llamas.  Today our breeding program is the same, except we are also stressing disposition and fiber production.

Many "new types" of llamas have been introduced since we got into the business.  We have made a conscious decision to stick with raising traditional llamas, stressing disposition, conformation, fiber and blood-lines.

In 2002 we were fortunate to add SRR Obsidian as a herdsire.  "Sid" is a Grand National Champion in both halter and get-of-sire classes.  He turned 15 this year and is enjoying a well deserved retirement.  We have four of his sons, so his great bloodline will continue.  This year we added a grandson of Silver Peru, Silvermine, as a herdsire.  Black Knight of the Bluegrass, an Obsidian son, will start his breeding career this fall.  In 2007 we added FANTASY'S CHICAGO DRUMMER to our breeding program.  DRUMMER brings a new blood line, good fiber and color (white), great conformation and he has an excellent disposition.  All things we require in a herdsire.

These fine studs, and the excellent females we have, assure that our goals of breeding excellent animals with outstanding blood-lines are on track.

This year we are offering a limited number of llamas for sale.  Check our "for sale" page often for new additions.
